Water and rain change rocks and can make them crash against each other and break down mountains which can change the Earth's surface a lot. New rocks are formed when atoms rearrange to make a atomic structure. The more water and time crystals get the bigger they get and if they get too big in a cave it could break a little of the cave and maybe cause it to cave in. This process is called Erosion. Soil is formed the weathering down of rock and when they are decomposed and becoming thin and rich for plants and flowers to grow and trees. There are five factors for soil formation: Parental Material, Climate, Organisms, Topography, and Time. Depending on those factors is how the soil grows like if the climate is moist and humid then the soil will be rich and fertile.
